Long Beach Job Corps Student Matthew Moody is ecstatic. Matthew is one of 4 students chosen to represent the Job Corps Program on an 11 day visit to China as part of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Matthew was nominated by staff for his outstanding leadership skills, accomplishments at Job Corps, friendliness, communication skills and his desire to embark on an adventure across the globe. Matthew submitted a written application, was selected to participate in a teleconference, and was soon notified that he is one of the chosen students. Three of the students selected represent Job Corps Centers that are located in the Western Region.
